1991: Trading is in our Blood.

• MEMPHIS is founded as distributor of computer peripherals. We fulfill individual requirements and learn that the memory modules on the U.S. market come up to all the demands of our customers regarding quality, performance and reliability without restrictions.

1993: We stick to our ambitions with consequence.

• MEMPHIS starts with development and production of their own special modules for Apple computers and notebooks. Customers are enthusiastic about their excellent quality. Modules from MEMPHIS are in demand all over Europe.

1995: Our purchasing power becomes interesting for manufacturers

• Privilege: For the first time, a manufacturer of memory ICs assigns the "OEM” status to MEMPHIS. We purchase for our production memory components directly from the manufacturer – key account status. More and more manufacturers follow and supply directly to MEMPHIS within the next months and years.

1997: The industry pays attention.

• MEMPHIS shows and interest in the industry and our individual module solutions for industrial applications and embedded PC systems are convincing. Through quality and expert advice we are able to acquire customers throughout the industry.

1999: There is more potential in the market place.

• MEMPHIS opens a branch office in the USA. Focus: On-site logistics, worldwide sales.

2000: The best of two worlds – MEMPHIS goes for combinations.

• Our competences as manufacturers of memory modules and our expertise as a distributor can be merged. The favorable purchasing prices we receive as an OEM give us an idea: We will start successfully as contract distributor for memory ICs.
• We place our holistic knowledge at the disposal of our customers: Kick-off for the Memory Competence Center. We serve as contact partner for the industry and provide consulting services on the selection of memory components of different manufacturers – at a completely objective level.

2001: We know what we want.

• Full concentration on memory components. Comprehensive service, expert advice, distribution of memory ICs as well as development and production of individual memory modules for the industry.
• MEMPHIS shuts down their business area of computer peripherals.

2003: Presence in Asia.

• Opening of offices in Hongkong (logistics and sales).

2006: Efficient and effective.

• Company turnover exceeds the 25 million US-Dollar limit.
• In the meantime, MEMPHIS has developed into the Competence Center for memory components for more than 1,000 industry customers worldwide.
