DRAM - dynamic Solutions for lean Budgets

Dynamic Random Access Memory ICs.

Dynamic write/read memories. Proven memory technology with extremely high capacity, however,
DRAM memory components require processor controlled refresh cycles. Relatively high power
consumption in comparison to other memory technologies such as SRAM.

Advantage: Reasonable price pr MBit compared to all other types of Memory ICs.

Survey of DRAM Memory Components

MEMPHIS provides comprehensive advice on the application of DRAM Memory ICs of the various manufacturers and supplies both sync and async DRAMs. Take advantage of the survey on memory components on the following pages and avoid the tiresome search on the individual manufacturer sites!

Objective:
Rapid recall and storage of large data volumes in direct interactions with the processor/micro controller.

Application Field:
All types of computer systems, mobile devices such as mobile telephones, data recording devices,
printers, control systems, etc.

Synchronous DRAMs

They work in-sync with the device, a fact that optimizes data transmission;
correspondingly the access speed of synchronous SDRAMs is high.

Asynchronous DRAMs

Do not work in-sync with clock frequency of devices. The production of asynchronous SDRAMs has
been strongly declining, almost put on hold in favor of synchronous SDRAMs or other technological alternatives. Don’t hesitate to make use of our inventory. Additionally, we recommend solutions
based on alternative products.
